Hello! I’m Andrew, the photographer behind BamBam Photography, based in Neath, South Wales.

Family is everything to me, and photography is how I capture the laughter, love, and beautiful chaos that make life real. Whether it’s hiking with my little man or the everyday moments at home, I love capturing those small, meaningful memories.

Photography isn’t my full‑time job just yet, but that’s the direction I’m heading. I currently work as a mechanic, bringing the same precision and care to engines as I do behind the lens. Before that, I spent over 20 years in factory work, seven of those as a foreman, until I stepped away to raise my son. That change gave me the space to pursue my passion for photography as a business. The nickname “BamBam” stuck from those factory days, inspired by my dad’s uncanny resemblance to Barney Rubble, and it’s become the heart of my brand: warm, down‑to‑earth, and full of character.

I’m self‑taught, always learning, and I love being creative and constantly pushing myself to improve. As someone with dyslexia, I feel it gives me a unique way of seeing things, noticing details, patterns, and emotions that others might miss. I’m a laid‑back photographer who adapts easily, goes with the flow, and enjoys turning even the craziest ideas into something special. None of this would be possible without my amazing partner, Laura, who has supported me throughout this journey and helped turn BamBam Photography into more of a family business.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with a wide range of photographers and models, each bringing their own style, energy, and approach. Those experiences have shown me the kind of photographer I strive to be, as well as the kind I never want to become. They’ve helped shape my creative direction and strengthened my confidence in the way I work.

Since starting BamBam Photography, I’ve worked on everything from family portraits and maternity sessions to modelling shoots and creative themed projects. I aim to create work that reflects my highest standards. I never settle for good enough, I refine every image until it’s something I’m truly proud of.
